Novaled AG is engaged in the R&D and marketing of OLED Technologies. OLEDs (organic light emitting diodes) are organic semi conductors, which are made up of layers out of organic materials that are only a few nanometers thick. The state of the art PIN-OLED technology is marketed to display manufacturers and lighting companies, together with Novaled's patented OLED materials.
Novaled was founded in 2001 and grew extensively with the development and marketing of its patented technology. Thus, today Novaled is a world class technology provider.
In their second financing round, in which eCAPITAL participated in November 2005, Novaled generated €15 million.
The financing round was closed in cooperation with international investors, like the venture fund of the Caisse de Dépots et Consignation (CDC Enterprises Innovation), Paris, the Credit Agricole Private Equity, Paris, the KfW Bankengruppe and the BFH Beteiligungsholding GmbH, both Germany.
